A 30 minute drive from Huntshoek, Grahamstown is a major centre of history and culture, boasting more than 70 declared National Heritage sites and host to the Annual Arts Festival.
Grahamstown is also home to Rhodes University, one of South Africa’s leading tertiary education institutions.
A little further towards the ocean lies the sleepy village of Bathurst. Enjoy a ‘cold one’ at the Pig ‘n Whistle, the oldest licenced pub in South Africa, or visit the big pineapple – the largest of its kind and learn more about the pineapple industry this area is so well known for.
